MY INSPIRATION

An inspiration for me is someone whom I admire the most. When we say inspiration many things or many people comes into our mind. Some would say books that they’ve read, TV persons, authors, and many other more for they have captured our hearts and attention. That’s why they mean a lot to us and they serve as an inspiration.

To me, my inspiration brought so much enthusiasm in my life. My mother is the one who inspires me. She has many experience that made me feel that in life, we should experience not only happiness but also sadness and hardworks.

I was inspired by the story of my mother’s life. They are 12 children in their family. Although they have stable life, they still experience how hard life was. When my mother was in her college, my grandparents did not spend a lot money because sha was a scholar student. My grandparents doesn’t want to send mother to school because they say, they were tired of sending their children to school but none of them graduated. That’s why my mother strive hard upon studying because she wants to prove to her parents that she is different from her other sisters and brothers. She even aacept washing clothes of others just to sustain her needs and she don’t want to depend on her parents.when my mother graduated, my grandparents were very proud and very happy for her.

And now that she has her own family and together with my father, they let us grow with their love and support. Even if we are not the perfect children that they have, I know they love us very much and I want to prove to them that we love them too. I want them to feel proud of me. That’s why I’m trying my best to my studies, and in that way I can pay their hardworks for me.

I am very thankful that I have a mother like her. She is my inspiration and no one can ever change that. My parents serve as an inspiration to me. They are the most perfect parents and I couldn’t ask for more.

THE SOLIDARITY RING

The SOLIDARITY RING was the biggest ring here in the Philippines. This is found in the province of Compostela Valley, my hometown. This was made by the miners, natives and the different municipalities of COMVAL.

The solidarity ring was made because of the unity of the people in Compostela Valley. This symbolizes the richness of natural resources of the place and the historical unity of the people of Compostela Valley, its wealth of natural resources, its rich cultural heritage, and the dreams and aspirations of its people for a better life.

The ring was first seen during the first celebration of the BULAWAN FESTIVAL on March 3-8, 2008. This ring was also presented in Davao City during KADAYAWAN FESTIVAL.

It is an 18-carat ringand a two-toned. Its inside diameter is 5 inches and the outside is 6 inches. It cotains 1.18 kg. of shining gold and 308 grams of 99.9% of pure silver. It wieghs 1.488 kg and with a price of P 1.5 million.

In its 1998 report, the Bureau of Mines and Geo-Sciences, Minerals News Service in Region XI, declared that Compostela Valley has gold deposits of 36, 328,699 metric tons of gold, one of the biggest in the world.

And I am very proud that the SOLIDARITY RING will be found in my hometown.

Overpopulation

Overpopulation is the exceeding number of people living in an environment, the Earth.

The human population in the earth is increasing nowadays, and the earth may not be able to sustain the needs of these people. They say increasing life expectancy and resource availability led to rapid growing of population.

The fast growing number of people does not depend only in the size of population, but also on the ratio of population to the availability of the natural resources. If the population is increasing rapidly, the availability of the resources in our places will decrease.

People should control the increasing growth of population. We are responsible for this environmental issue. Most especially, we should learn how to conserve our resources.

GOD is My Hero

We all know what a hero is. Hero is someone who has done something brave, new, or good and who is therefore greatly admired by a lot of people. These are the most common definition about hero. In addition to that, I can say that a hero is someone who has done things that is for the benefit of others. Meaning, he or she is doing things unselfishly.

If someone would ask me who my hero is, I would say then that one of my hero is Lord God. He is my hero simply because he is the Father above all. He has done everything for us. He has better or even the plans in everyone of us. He even sacrifice3 just for us. Although there are bad things that were happening in our lives, these were just the things that test our believe or faith in Him. Everything that has been done to our lives was all because of Him. That's why all of us admired and loved Him with all of our heart.

In addition to that reasons, in my own perceptions, in my life, he has done many things or all of the things that made me realize that I am very useful in my existence here on earth. He let me awaken to the realities in my life. He has done nothing but the best. Although he has plans that let me down, I just consider that as challenges that let my faith be stronger. That's why I worship and love my hero. And he is the hero of everybody.

THE UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT

One of the unforgettable moment of my life is when I met someone whom I am not expecting to enter my undisturbed world.

We were classmate for seven years. I dont know anything about him except his name. When we are elementary, we dont know each other. We dont even talk.

We just know each other deep when we're third year high school. It just started with an eye to eye contact. I dont know what I am feeling for him, all I know is that I am happy whenever i saw him. I kept that feeling for along time. Suddenly, I did not expected that we'll become close. I am happy every time we're together. But I am not expecting that he will feel same with what I felt.

To my surprise to our Junior's Ball, he admitted that he admire me. I do not know what to say that time. I am so much speechless and then he courted me.

When the right time comes, we became special friends. I accepted him for who he is like what he also do. We are very happy for what we have now.

I did not aim for someone who'll love and care for me with all his heart, all I wanted is someone who can accept me for who I am, no matter how immature I am. but GOD gave me more than enough. He gave me someone who can turn to when I am down, and someone who gives the meaning of love and cared for me with all his heart. Someone who let me feel that I am worthy to be loved and cared for.

Be a Catalyst for Reconciliation

Gift means a lot to everyone. Its price doesn’t matter but the thought that counts. Even small thing can make us happy as long as it was given to us sincerely.

The carpenter’s gift to the two brothers was as very big help to their relationship. He builds them bridge instead of building fence or wall between the territories of the two.

If I would relate it to myself, I would say I will do the same as what the carpenter did. I would preferably choose to build bridge instead of wall or fence. Because by building bridges, it can cross the great divides – divides that are caused by strife, conflicts, and battles between differences, ideologies, and principles. If I will choose to build fence or wall, this will not make any sense. It will just make the conflict worst. It will never be of help to every conflict.

We should build bridges instead of walls.

It's the month of august....
I'm so excited.....28 days to go...I'm going back home...

My Rational Perception

No one stops to say “Thank You” anymore.

This line is very disappointing in our present days. It’s very frustrating that no one is courteous enough saying “Thank You” to someone who is offering help or just being thoughtful.

I was reading the text; it seemed that the thoughts in the text are what we’re experiencing now. Yes it’s true that there are only few of thousands who are offering their kindness and thoughtfulness. Only few are saying “Thank You” to the guards who are willing to hand a help in opening a door. No one says thank you to small things that are done for somebody else. Even children do not practice saying that line anymore because even their older sisters or brothers they do not hear that one.

Children emulate what they see.

Yes, it’s true. Children in these days don’t have good values anymore, because they were not trained by their parents. They imitate what they see in the older ones. What they see is what they keep on doing or saying. Even if those things are wrong, they would imitate it, because they do believe that what the older one’s doing is correct and appropriate. And it also depends on how their parents train them. The parents should teach their child how to become a good child. They should train desirable values because these things are very important in their stages of growing. That’s why, we as the older one, we should say correct words and do things that are appropriate and correct in front of them.

A Sensible Thought

Who was Hani?

Hani was a student with an enormous, great, and deep courage on herself. She’s a girl who’s not lucky enough to have beautiful dresses, a girl who was left behind because of her lack of knowledge about the technology.

I just thought that I am very lucky enough compared to Hani. I have my dresses that are comfortable to wear; I have my knowledge how to use computer which is part of technology.

I also thought that if Hani have all the courage, willingness, and trust to herself even if she’s not lucky enough to have the things or experience the things that we’re experiencing now, why not us who have those things. How come others couldn’t have that courage, willingness and trust to themselves although they are very lucky to have the things that Hani doesn’t have.

In my sensible thoughts, I realized that I am lucky to have the things that Hani doesn’t have at all. I should have all the courage to learn, to pursue myself to the attitude that Hani have.

I admire Hani so much because of her huge trust to herself. I should have the courage, determination and trust to myself like what Hani have. I should strive hard like Hani in order to become successful.

Astonishment

July 4, in the evening, I and my joyful board mates gathered in the living room of our boarding house. We gathered because we’ll be watching a movie entitled “Coming Soon”. We were so excited, especially me. Because I like watching horror movies, even I can’t get asleep well after watching.

The movie “Coming Soon” is a horror film. The story was all about a woman who do not like that someone could watch her how she dies. So she keeps on haunting all of the staffs who witness how she dies and also a man who’s very curios about her movie. That woman was an actress. She died because of an accident during the shooting of her movie “Evil Spirit”. She used to pull eyes of those people who witnessed how she died.

We enjoyed very much upon watching that horror movie. The cold wind and the darkness surrounded us while watching give us more thrill. We keep on shouting as the ghost appears on the screen. It was so embarrassing in my part for I am the one who shouts very loud.

After we watched movie, I decided to go to bed because it seemed like it’s very late in the evening. But an hour passed, I still can’t sleep. The face of that woman keeps on playing in my mind. So I prayed and then after a few minutes I fell asleep. Thanks God.

I Missed My Life In Compostela

I miss my family, I miss my friends, our home. But i have no choice, I should sacrifice in order to finish study.^_^

My Mission In Life

Everybody has their own mission in life. It’s a thing that can satisfy us if we finished that mission. Some of those missions are for family, friends, people around them and especially for self-satisfaction. I believe that if we could finish that mission, we can get our satisfaction and we can say to ourselves that “mission accomplished”.

In my high school days, my mission in life is that when I finish my study in HRM course, I will look for a job abroad and when I’ll have my own savings that’s enough for building my own restaurant, then I’ll go for it. And I want that I will be the chef, even if it seemed like its hard to handle.

But in just one click, my mission had been changed. It turned into taking up BS Biology and if my parents can let me proceed to Medicine I’ll pursue myself to that course, because I want to help people who are sick, especially people around me and special to me. And lastly, I want my parents to be proud of me. In that way I can say it to myself, “mission accomplished”.
